Have you tried to connect to Jewish life in DC but it just isn’t working or isn't compelling?
Are you proud to be Jewish but don't know how to make that an active part of your adult life?
Get out of DC for a weekend and start exploring new ways of understanding your Jewish identity.
Join us January 14th - 16th, 2017 (MLK weekend) for our second Beyond the Tent Retreat - an immersive experience with other local Jewish 20s and 30s.
What to expect:
This creative and interactive experience will bring together about 40 Jews from DC for three days in order to broaden the conversation about what it means to be Jewish today. We will unpack 21st century American Judaism and explore alternative models for expressing that identity. And, of course, you'll have fun doing it with other great Jewish 20s and 30s from DC.
- Build relationships with peers over DMCs (deep meaningful conversations) and a six pack
- Explore alternative models for what your Jewish life could look like
- Gain a deeper understanding of how you relate (or don’t) to your Jewish identity
Who can apply?
Jewish 20s and 30s in the DC area who are open to exploring new and alternative paths of Jewish expression. This experience is non-denominational with no background experience or knowledge required.
